Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I get there? -  West or East bound on I-90 take exit 101 west of Ellensburg.  Turn north off the ramp onto Thorp Hwy and go 2 1/2 miles east to Taneum Rd.  Turn left and go to Party Barn sign.
 
Is there camping? - Yes, primitive camping (no power or water at camp sites).
 
Can we set up panels? - Absolutely, no corals are provided.  High lines, portable panels, trailer ties and portable fences are all acceptable.
 
What do the horses need for vaccinations? - PMSAR has no specific requirements however Washington State veterinary requirements should be followed.
 
Is everyone parked out in a field? - Yes
 
Is there a water source? - Yes, water is available but not at camp sites.

Are there restroom facilities? - Yes, there are restrooms with showers on site.

 
Can we bring our own bales?  - Absolutely, PMSAR does not provide horse feed.
 
When is the earliest we can set up? - 3pm Friday on 20JUN08 is when check in begins.
 
The website mentions one ride that starts at 8:30 one morning. - Rides will be going all the time at the riders discretion.  Maps will be provided along with a GPS class and Map Reading class if you would like to attend. 
 
Well is it a walk in the park or do we cover some ground? - The facility is over 4,000 acres with trails extending beyond the property.  It's your choice on how far you choose to go.
 
Do we head out each day at our own? - Yes.  Some people form groups and ride together while others go on their own.
 
Or is it organized with set routes and times? - No, routes are at your discretion.  The Prize ride and the Geocaching are timed events without specific routes.
 
Are helmets mandatory? - No they are not.
